Proper oral hygiene keeps your teeth and gums healthy for years to come. In addition to the usual classic toothbrushes, modern manufacturers are developing more and more new oral care devices. For example, an irrigator is in good demand among consumers. With it, you can safely remove plaque from the enamel without damaging it, remove pieces of food stuck between the teeth, and massage the gums.
Today we want to talk about the Revyline RL 610 and Revyline RL 660 irrigators. We will describe in detail all their features, as well as share our own impressions.
How does an irrigator work?
The design of such an apparatus includes a small liquid reservoir, an electric motor and a powerful pump. The latter, under decent pressure, supplies water to the hose and nozzle of the irrigator. A thin jet of water washes away food debris and plaque from the interdental space and gum pockets.
A variety of nozzles can be included in the kit. For example, nozzles for the care of implants and braces, for cleaning the tongue, periodontal, orthodontic, nasal – they are used to wash the sinuses.
Experienced dentists say that even the most high-tech irrigator is not able to completely replace a toothbrush and dental floss, but it is able to complement their work and do what they are not capable of. Often, it is the irrigator that dentists recommend for the care of medical structures of various kinds – braces, prostheses, implants, veneers, crowns, bridges. In addition, the irrigator is able to reach the farthest teeth and prevent their destruction due to lack of care.
Irrigator ads claim that they destroy plaque. But to be more precise, irrigators slow down its formation, since after their use the number of microorganisms in the oral cavity decreases.
The irrigator is perfect for the prevention and treatment of periodontitis and periodontal disease. The jet of water massages the gums, improving blood circulation in them, which is very beneficial for both teeth and gums.
Irrigators differ from each other in a number of key indicators that have a direct impact on the efficiency, overall performance and cost of the device. The most objective way to evaluate the capabilities of the irrigator is by the power of the water jet. At the same time, stationary models in most cases have higher rates compared to portable ones. The jet pressure in the irrigator is measured in kilopascals, the power can be adjusted, which is very important with increased sensitivity of teeth and gums.
Portable irrigators usually run on a built-in battery, and this is very convenient – you do not have to lay a cable and build an outlet closer to the sink. Also, the device can be taken with you on a trip or on a business trip. Some models come with carrying cases.
Revyline RL 610 – Key Features
This device is a high-tech portable type that provides professional-level protection for teeth and gums at home. Despite the fact that this irrigator has a compact size, in terms of power and reliability, it is practically in no way inferior to stationary models. The manufacturer has provided five operating modes and six levels of liquid pressure, due to which each user will be able to choose the most suitable option for themselves and bring maximum benefit to the teeth and gums.
The Revyline RL 610 comes with a USB Type-C charging cable, the most common type of connector today. The model has a dual indication with LED backlight, which makes the device as convenient as possible to use. The white backlight indicates the selected mode, and the green one shows the fluid pressure level at the outlet.
The volume of the reservoir for the RL 610 is 230 ml. The irrigator has a special window that allows you to track the amount of remaining water. The liquid pressure at the outlet of the nozzle can range from 207 to 828 kPa, which is a very serious indicator for a portable irrigator.
The waterproof housing fully complies with the international IPX7 standard. The case is made of matte plastic, pleasant to the touch, has well-thought-out ergonomics, so it will not slip out of your hands during operation.
The device is powered by a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 1500 mAh. Five modes of operation are designed for standard use, for working with braces, for spot or pulsating cleaning. You can pause the device. The maximum ripple is 1800 pulses per minute.

We have been using this device for several days. At first, there was a slight discomfort, but it was worth putting a weaker mode, as the problem was solved. The device is not too heavy – the hand does not get tired of it during operation, lies tightly in the hand, pleasant to the touch. Modes switch easily, no complaints in this regard have arisen. The LED indication is bright, even under intense lighting everything is always clearly visible. Overall dimensions are small, the irrigator can be taken with you. The jet is stable, even, comes out under decent pressure. We really liked this design, we have no complaints, so we definitely recommend the irrigator for purchase.
